Meet "Billy Bison", a 12.5-ton granite sculpture by artist John K. Daniels. In 2001, Museum Services Inc. managed the full relocation and restoration of this monumental artwork, moving it from downtown Minneapolis to Allianz Life Insurance Company in Golden Valley. Our team carefully planned and executed the rigging and transport, ensuring the sculpture’s safety every step of the way.
Our experienced conservation specialists restored Billy Bison by removing decades of soot and grime, revealing the sculpture’s original detail and finish. The project concluded with the rigging and reinstallation of the artwork at its new location, where it remains on view today.
At MSI, every project is carried out with expertise in handling large-scale, high-value artworks with the care, coordination, and technical skill they require.
